About Us

Fly Minnesota LLC was started when a few local people were looking for flight instruction, but there were few Certified Flight Instructors (CFI’s) in the area. Mick, a local pilot, had just earned his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) certificate and decided to help while still attending college. After about a year of instructing, the list of students began to grow.

Fly Minnesota LLC was born.

Mick had a few important goals in mind with his program:

1. Make the training as easy as possible for the students.

   This means having custom made study guides and resources available to the students, and a clear training schedule.

2. Be a valuable CFI.

   Unfortunately, many CFI’s are only instructing to build hours and start a job with the airlines. This is unacceptable by Mick’s standards. A CFI should be excited to work, meet new people, and help clients achieve their goals.

3. Increase our local pilot population.

   Aviation can create a strong bond in any community. As pilots, we enjoy talking about flying with fellow pilots and members of the community. This expands the resources available to us with each new connection.
